Purchase your parking permit online!Hide Show
Parking permits are available for purchase online for the upcoming academic year or semester at the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) website. To log in, you will need your Binghamton University PODS ID.

First time permit buyer? You must first register your vehicle online with the University. If you are a returning customer, log in and follow the step-by-step instructions.

For those interested in purchasing a new proximity card permit, they will be available for first-time purchase Monday, Aug. 7. For current state payroll-deducted proximity card holders, no action is required on your part and your proximity card will automatically renew. All other proximity card holders must visit the Parking Services office to renew starting Monday, Aug. 7.

TAPS has integrated a new parking software that utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) that eliminates the need for parking decals. LPR is a plate-recognition technology that associates parking permits to a license plate and not a decal or hangtag. This technology virtually links license plates to a permit. Once a permit is purchased online a confirmation will be emailed and the permit is active. You will no longer need to affix a decal to your vehicle or pay to have a lost or stolen decal replaced. You can also update your vehicle information yourself from your online account.

Additional information on LPR and a full list of parking updates for the upcoming year can be found on the TAPS website. Any questions can be directed to Parking Services. TAPS is looking forward to a great 2017-2018 academic year!
